Artist Statement:"This quilt draws inspiration from a classic ancient Chinese folk song. Depicting fish darting and playing amid lotus leaves, it implicitly expresses young lovers’ tender romance, with lotus bloom standing for purity. The piece uses over 100 silk hues for vivid, layered color. Mixed free-motion machine embroidery and appliqué create painterly modern textures. Its border adopts traditional Chinese patterns like an art frame."
