First Flight
First Flight
Made from a cell phone photo taken of my Grandson flying his first kite when he was three years old.
The kite was purchased by me for my Grandson to take with him on a vacation with his Mom and Dad to the beach. He was only three years old and had never flown a kite before. My son took a photo with his phone and sent it to me. I have always been interested in landscape and portrait quilts but had never tried making one. I thought this would be a good one to start with as it seemed simple. I was not having to do a face or any hard landscape. Well, it was harder than I had expected but I learned so much. I used fused applique, Inktense colored pencils, D'Ache NeoColor Water Pastels, and Thread Painting.
