Emily's Forest - Tall trees, deep forest, West Coast, Emily Carr. My quilt shows British Columbia's great forests - a theme that Emily Carr used in many of her most famous paintings. I read about Emily Carr's life as an artist when making this quilt. A quote from one of her journals will stay with me always: "This is my country. What I want to express is here and I love it."
