Artist Statement: "As the pandemic wore through 2020, we all needed something to look forward to, and virtual quilt shows were a bright spot in an otherwise dreary Winter. I created Emergence as a 100 day countdown to QuiltCon Together. A small amount of sewing each day grew consistently to emerge as a finished quilt by the time we gathered virtually. Bright, warm colors evoke joy and the mix of hand and machine quilting creates a cozy texture."
