Elemental
Elemental
"Elemental" by Patti Coppock Bucklin, with additional quilting by Ann Olson, won First Place - Piecing at QuiltCon 2026.
Artist Statement: "During times of stress, I construct elements for future quilts. Creative ideas begin to swirl in my head till I am happy with a direction. It took 7 months to make this quilt, working in small increments of time. I bought a bolt of the background fabric in order to have enough...but barely made it. Whew! I sometimes joked that the name of the quilt was going to be Elemental, with an emphasis on mental!"
