"Duchess Reigns" is a stunning wholecloth quilt by Leah Day.
Duchess Reigns was marked, trapuntoed, and outline quilted by Leah while the quilt was white, and colored after the fact. This was done because the quilt was so complex to mark and she didn't have a big enough light box to mark a dark colored fabric. At this point, Leah then hand-dyed the quilt burgundy and quilted it with white Isacord thread to provide a wonderful contrast with her now darkly colored fabric.
