Artist Statement: "Being inspired by the trend of making circular quilts and loving flowers, I decided to make a giant Dresden. After completing the blades, I had no idea how to complete the center. I took a class from Robin Ruth and made the Mariner's Compass blocks using the same color scheme. These blocks were perfect for the center and corners."
