A print of a sea dragon that I purchased many years ago at Houston's quilt festival was my inspiration.
Sea Dragons are masters of camoflage and after purchasing a sea dragon print by Bonnie Bower-Jennis I was inspired to feature them in one of my under the sea quilts. Choosing the fabric for their leafy appendages was a challenge but I finally found the perfect thing at a second hand store; a blouse with semi sheer botanical printing. The schooling fish were painted, individually cut out and placed to create a flow in this horizontal format.
