Don't Put All Your Eggs in One

Don't Put All Your Eggs in One

"Don't Put All Your Eggs in One" by Marilyn Smith was featured at Houston 2021.

Artist Statement: "This quilt was inspired by some melon baskets I made in the 80's. While looking at the baskets, I realized that the God's eye could be a Log Cabin block and the basket part could be made using a wedge ruler. The baskets are embellished with beads, embroidery thread, and buttons. This quilt took a very long time to complete and because it was an original pattern, I ran into many problems while making it. I'm glad it is done."
