I followed Dee's class. It was a little overwhelming as only Jen Kingwell's quilts can be.
I really like Alex's concept of a "sew-a-long" that is interactive. You want to feel as though you are part of a sewing bee. I started following Alex's group at the start of the pandemic or closely there after, and purchased all of her patterns so when she brought Dee on I thought, O.K I'll give this a try. I work full-time so it's not always easy to keep up, but I also don't give up so.... I took on Long Time Gone. I did great until I came to one particular block, but Dee came to the rescue with her suggestion of using the Tri-Rec ruler and success. I hated the border on the quilt and so left it off, but I did add a row onto the bottom to make it more of a rectangle which I prefer.
