Dixie, our Morning Star - When a family member died of morbid obesity, I was asked to make three identical quilts from her calico dresses. She was nicknamed "Sunshine" for her wonderful spirit and infectious laugher. On the label I wrote, "Dixie was our Sunshine, Now she is our Morning Star". This too is reversible with diamond-shaped pieces from her brighter dresses, like jewels surrounded by the creamy background fabric.
