Deconstructed Squares Wall Hanging

Deconstructed Squares Wall Hanging

What do you get when you sew a square in a square, in a square in a square, and then bisect them a couple of times?

This is the result of my latest experiment. I've always loved playing with geometric shapes. This pattern works because of the contrast among the pieces. Your eyes see the overall squares in both the regular orientation and on point, which creates the triangle-shapes pieces.
