Dandelions (but where is the yellow?)
Dandelions (but where is the yellow?)
Commercial fabrics and hand dyed indigo squares from friends and done by myself, embellished with big stitche and beads
I have always liked to make quilts with a variety of fabrics and have recently been interested in scrappy effects. When I first worked in the off-center panel making this in the spring, it looked like fireworks to me, but when I had pieced everything together and stood back to see the finished effect as summer came on, I realized it was actually dandelions gone to seed. I added the beads and big stitches to capture the idea of the wind blowing. It left me wondering..." Where was the yellow?", and then I noticed I had included a scrap with the faint hint of pale yellow after all. Can you find it?
