A regal crane appliqued over curved, strip-pieced background creates a stunning wall quilt.
Inspired by Julie Gundlach's photo of a crowned crane, Josephine used Derwent watercolor pencils to create it, then experimented with curved, strip-piecing for the background. Because it was made to be sold at the annual gala of Microfinancing Partners in Africa, she found a mat and frame to enhance it.
