This quilt is based on a picture of a cross cut of a tree.

I purchased a postcard in the UK where I wasteaching that was an old cross cut of a tree. Iwas fascinated with the patterning I saw and decided to make this quilt. It was a hugeproject to figure it out and make it. Fifteen years ago when we built our new home we had Chester Armstrong carve this image on wood for our front door.
