"Critical (Stash) Mass" by Karla Alexander was made as a result of having too many scrappy fabrics in her stash.
Critical (Stash) Mass is named after the phenomena that Karla experiences, and we're sure other quilters do too when her studio is overflowing with scraps and it's time to start buying containers for fabric, thus reaching critical mass. So instead of getting the containers to store the scraps she used them to make this quilt. This quilt is a variation of one of the quilts featured in Karla's book, Color Shuffle: New Quilts from Karla Alexander.
