Compulsive Behaviour - "Dear Jane" - This quilt is taken from Jane Stickles quilt of 1864. I began piecing in November 1999 using strip piecing, foundation and hand applique. After I finished a row, I had to start the next. The main part of the quilt was pieced by February of 2000. A month later I started on the border. Again the same thing happened. Each pie shaped piece is different and it just kept pulling me in. Around June it was all together. I machine quilted along all the sashing and then began hand quilting. It was finished in January 2001. I loved doing this quilt. Every block was different and I was able to use reproduction fabrics from the early 1900's along with other fabrics I had been collecting.
