My designs for wonky NY Beauties sewn using freezer paper paperless paper piecing techniques.
After watching TQS shows in 2018 I decided to try to design my own NY Beauties in a wonky style. A show guest (can't find the number!) showed how to use a yardstick compass for large squares and I also found Clover 5-in-1 gauge tool invaluable for 8" squares. I used the paperless paper piecing technique with freezer paper. The fabric is all Kaffe Fassett. I'm a long time fan of Freddy Moran so use black and white polka dots to break up sections. I had so many designs I ended up making 2 quilts!
