Artist Statement: "This design was very loosely inspired by a pattern of slubs in a rug. I enjoy having a handwork project to work on while I watch TV, so the circles are all hand appliquéd after turning the edges under with starch. The circle gradients are continued into the quilting to fill in some of the empty spaces and provide additional interest."
