Circle of Bluhms - This wholecloth method has been taught by Irena, Bluhm of Little Elm, Texas. I was a member of her first class of students in 2006. At the end of the class, she gave us this original pattern and gave us permission to use it, change it up, but keep in touch. I changed it only slight - the center. First step is to stitch the design in green thread, then heavy fill-in quilting is completed in white. After the quilt has been washed, blocked, steamed and bound, it is embellished with color and a fabric medium to seal the color.
It has won a second place at the Professional Long Arm Guild Quilt Show in 2006 (guild founded by Linda V. Taylor) and a first place at my local quilt show - Red River Quilters, Shreveport, LA.
