I made this in a zoom'd paper-piecing class. The fabrics came from a table runner kit that had sat for a few years. I love the fabrics, love the techniques David Sirota taught and have adopted his method for paper-piecing. I modified his pattern somewhat and then added a border before quilting.
If you have not tried taking a quilt technique class via zoom, I encourage you to try it. The visuals are great, as no one is standing in your way; you do not have to worry about forgetting to bring your sewing machine's foot pedal or running out of fabric. You are at home while attending. No need to wear a mask. Your instructor can answer your questions as normal. You can even take bathroom breaks as needed!
