Artist Statement:"Discovering wonderful color combinations for my curved piecing designs is what drives my quilting. Working with my hand dyed cotton, silk and linen fabrics is a very satisfying part of my work. I have loved traditional basket quilts and wanted to make a new fresh version of this old favorite."
Techniques: Machine Pieced, Improvisational Piecing, Machine Appliqué, Machine Quilted without a frame (domestic), Curved Pieced templates were used to create this original design to compliment a favorite traditional basket pattern. Machine Appliquéd circles were added to compliment the overall design.
