"Carved Fairy Tale" by Elena Smychenko won 1st Place - Traditional Quilts at the 2023 Festival of Quilts.
Inspiration: "My quilt is my mother's wooden box with carved patterns, which I remember from childhood. The gray thread around the floral patterns is dusty from time. Color transitions are like warm light from the childhood of the happiest child in the world."
