Latifah Saafir's "Callaloo" quilt got its name from a Caribbean stew-like dish of the same name.
A traditional Callaloo is made with Callaloo greens and a variety of seafood, sometimes including clams, of course. Like this quilt, though, each pot of Callaloo can be as varied as the maker that creates it, which is what Latifah did in this case.
