"California Dreamer" by Lesley Riley was inspired by a photograph of a woman out standing the California fields.
When a woman posted a photo of her mother standing out in the fields of California, Lesley asked if she could use the photo in a quilt. The woman agreed, and California Dreamer was born. Part of the quilt is the actual photo, and then Lesley added appliqué and collage to accentuate it.
