This quilt evolved into a whole different color scheme than I originally envisioned. I just go with the flow.
There is a whole beautiful world to be discovered under the sea. As a scuba diver for many years, I am fortunate to have had a glimpse of that world and now find myself making many under the sea quilts. This quilt was made using a raw edge applique method using batik fabric, painted fabric, and tinted cheesecloth. I like to put images into the quilt that can be seen from a distance to draw the viewer in and then I enjoy putting smaller, sometimes partially hidden details for the viewer to discover up close, and even more details are in the quilting.
