"Big Cheese" by Diane Harris was born from a quilt whose initial idea never really worked.
Big Cheese is named after the cheddar-colored fabric featured prominently throughout the quilt. This quilt started out as another idea that completely flopped, and Diane had some of the failed patches from that project up on her design wall and she could kind of start to see columns emerge. She latched onto that column idea and changed course, and Big Cheese was the result.
