Artist Statement: "It took three years, 450,000 stitches, and too many test blocks, fabrics, and threads to count. This is the quilt that made me want to learn machine embroidery. I was dazzled by the original quilt and after quite some time, felt that I could tackle this journey. With the support of my machine embroidery friends and endless hours of advice and critiques, I have a piece that I am quite proud of."
