This is an original appliqued quilt, embellished with beadwork, trapunto and free motion quilting.
This interpretation of the Anishinaabe Miikan Medicine Wheel, a 5'x5' wall quilt, was commissioned by Mamaway Wiidokdaadwin as an interpretation of their Red Road to Recovery program logo. There are over 150 hours invested in this quilt; made up of design time, applique, beadwork, hand embroidery, collage, machine embroidery, trapunto and free motion quilting. It was a true labor of love.
