An Art Deco style quilt using Egyptian-themed fabrics
A number of years ago, Robert Kaufman came out with two lines of fabrics in Egyptian motifs called Valley of the Kings and Treasures of Alexandria. They reminded me of the Art Deco style and the Egyptian mania of the early 20th century so I designed this quilt with those concepts in mind. The quilt was one of my projects during the first year of the Covid epidemic. It used a central panel surrounded by Friendship Star, Moon over the Mountain, and third block whose name I forget. It is a very large, king-size quilt.
