ABC - Anything But Cotton
ABC - Anything But Cotton
This largely silk quilt has many fabrics from my life and family.
This mostly silk quilt has fabrics from travels to India and Thailand, vintage satin manufactured by my ancestors (Skinner Silk Mills, Holyoke, MA), fabric from a distant cousin who specialized in Japanese designs, and fabric scraps from clothing I made. Quilt edges are purposely not straight. I embellished the white satin panel (vintage) that had existing cutwork of lilacs. A selvege with the family name (Skinner) is also featured.
