This is a combination of Sue Garman's Bed of Roses and a bit of my own whimsy. I started the applique in the traditional colors with a white background and found that I was not enjoying it. About that time I was straightening up my studio and came across my box of brights and Kaffe Fassett fabrics. Once I found the red, I knew I would enjoy the applique much better. The traditional feathered start seems so appropriate. I am going to love this quilt for a long time.
