Ricky challenged makers to think outside of the box when finishing the kaleidoscope. I wanted my quilt to be bigger. Placing the kaleidoscope in a corner worked. The blank space needed filling and I had lots of scraps from the strip sets. Win/win! If the quilt is turned 180, it looks like the scraps are "constructing" the kaleidoscope. The picture is turned to show "deconstruction". A great art quilt that will be cover and warm a loved one.
