"A Paradise of Primary Colors" by Naomi Iida was featured in the Machine Quilting category at Houston 2023.
Artist Statement: "The background fabric was hand-dyed in circles. I used fused appliqué for the Hawaiian flowers, covered them with organdy, and quilted over the organdy. Fabrics were chosen to be as close as possible to the actual plant colors. Four geckos are guarding the quilt."
