"A Flight of Thread Duos & Delights" by Mel Beach was created as part of a one-week challenge.
A Flight of Thread Duos & Delights was created as a challenge quilt with the theme of "Birds in the Air". "Birds in the Air" is a traditional quilt block that for this quilt Mel put into a diagonal format to create a star. For the quilting, she blended thread through one needle to create different shades and tones by taking two threads, say white and yellow, and using a top stitch to create a new color.
