5th Annual Big Island Quilt Shop Hop - 2013 - The I'iwi, or red honey creeper, is found in the fern forest of Volcano. At one time they were hunted for their beautiful red feathers that the Hawaiian Royalty worn on their capes. They have a beautiful song that can be heard in the fern forests of Volcano's National Park.
