Research indicates Wistman is corruption of wise man as it has been considered mysterious, the realm of  magicians and druids for centuries. It is a vestige of a prehistoric woodland protected by the boulder scree in which it grows, and was made Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1964.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eRaw edge appliqué, needle felted wool for the boulders to indicate moss, . Silvered Lutradur misty moon overlaid by fine net with added silver halo to emphasise the mood. The Gaelic text aims to add intrigue 'foraoise an duine saoi' translates as Forest of the Wise Man.
