I took a picture and stored it away until someday I would be inspired to create a Landscape Quilt.  It was an overwhelming experience to see it come together.  I have included the original photo from which the quilt was created.  Surrounding the pump are flowers, shrubs and a lawn ornament which were in both my garden and a friend's yard.  The bird is embroidered and the quilt is enhanced with Swarovski crystals.  It's amazing that people depended upon a pump like this to bring water to their homes.
