All of the fabrics were gifts to me by family members. I made the plates in 2002\/2003 and packed them away. Several months later, I machine pieced the the back ground squares and then basted the squares in place and appliques them down. After all was completed I layered my quilt, basted it, and hand quilted it. The hand quilting design was my own designs (which cannot be clearly seen in the picture).
