I had some handmade paper with me and wanted to see if the texture would come through fused fabric. It didn't. SO, I was left with this pretty 8.5\"x11\" sheet of fused fabric scraps. I was reading \"Creative Quilting: The Journal Quilt Project\" and saw a piece where somebody did reverse appliqué and I liked how the color of the background fabric came through. However, instead of fabric for my top layer, I used (Lumiere paints) Peltex, on which I traced and then cut out a pattern from a photo of a circular staircase.
