So she set it aside for the time being. During that time Cindy began making Engligh Paper Pieced Double Ruby Ring blocks that were designed by Michelle Bartholomew. As luck would have it, she had the Ring blocks and the Star Block up on her design wall at the same time and felt that they looked fantastic together. So Cindy went and made more of the English Paper Pieced blocks than she had planned on to fit her new design, and then added her own borders around the outside to finish the initial look of the quilt.
