This quilt required a specific technique using piecing and machine quilting (domestic). Each and every piece was cut and quilted individually. This was the most intricate and technically challenging work I have ever done, as each piece had to be cut and put together meticulously in order to maintain the symmetry and geometry of the star pattern. The flower motifs in the four corners of the quilt are appliqué.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eI chose this specific pattern because the colors reminded me of the way stars twinkle in the sky.
