It uses fused piecing in the lakes which are embellished with angelina and beaded. Along with wacky 9 patches for the land. The pine tree was fused and edged stitched then embellished. The northern lights in the sky are paper pieced (I found the pattern in a magazine- sorry but I can't find it, when I do I will note it here).
