Since I plan to use this quilt as a picnic quilt, I used denim for the backing, sturdy home dec cotton for the binding, and added a strap with Velcro (a la Elizabeth Hartman's Rec Center Picnic Quilt). This was my first time free motion quilting and I used the tissue paper marking method.
