{"product_id":"inspired-by-paradise","title":"Inspired By Paradise","description":"This vibrant whole-cloth, hand-painted quilt was juried into AQS Paducah in 2018.  \u003cp\u003eThis 104\"x104\" quilt started as a single piece of white fabric. The design was inspired by my time living in Hawaii, which continues to be my muse today. I admire traditional Hawaiian appliqué quilts, and sought to replicate that style. Once all of the \"blocks\" and center area were designed, I transferred the designs to my big piece of white fabric, which I then quilted on my longarm.  Once quilting was finished came the most time-consuming phase- hand painting the whole-cloth, using Inktense pencils, Jacquard colorless extender, with some PearlEx powdered pigment (for shimmer). The painting took about ten months.
