The quilt was English Paper Pieced using 1.5\" diamonds and made entirely out of scrappy fabrics from Gail's stash, except the background. The branches protruding throughout the quilt were done using heat-transferred flocked vinyl.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eAfter Gail passed the quilt along to Jan to be quilted, Jan originally had a tough time having her quilted leaves show up on the black and gray polka-dotted background fabric. She asked Gail if she could do something to have it stand out a bit more.
