After getting the quilt completely basted I noticed it had a perfect spot between the outside border and the center for a feather. Since I am not Hawaiian and I thought it would be a fun way to turn this traditional Hawaiian into something different. I drew out a feather design to fit in the space and did the machine method of adding the trapunto.
