I only knew the seams had to match and they do. The sashing is wavy because I didn't know about how you were suppose to measure sashing and also had no idea about fabric value and contrast but I did fall in love with quilting and everyone in the family loved it! I had it done for my first Granddaughter's first Christmas at our house! It holds fond memories and although I know I will probably will never win a show ribbon for any of my quilts this one won a blue ribbon in my family's heart. And before my Mother and Father passed away I was able to make them decent quilts that they loved and cherished and hold even more memories for the whole family . So this one is the one that started it all!!
