When she makes a traditional quilt, Cynthia usually finds a focus fabric and pulls fabrics to go with it. In the case of \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eApple Core\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, it was that initial sashing fabric that drew Cynthia into making the quilt. The center blocks where the sashing all comes together are 6\" finished blocks that, when making the quilt yourself, are interchangeable.
