When working with Jelly Rolls, one of the pitfalls is you never use every Jelly Roll strip in a project and you have some that are leftover. Michelle addressed this in her book, Not-Your-Typical Jelly Roll Quilts, and specifically designed "Meow Mates" as a way to use up all of the low volume strips that you cannot find a place for in your other projects. So, a lot of the fabrics in "Meow Mates"come from other projects that Michelle created for the same book.
